On the 29th of March I had the honor of being able to have a conversation Miranda Pacchiana, a writer, social worker and well-known activist who is working towards opening up a dialogue about sexual violence in the home, and whose activism is of great personal significance to me. Miranda and I talked in detail about Purgatory, my music career and the varying experiences of survivors of sexual abuse and violence, which will later be released as part of series 3 of the Truth and Consequences podcast. After our conversation, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of comradery and respect for all those who come forward and speak about their experiences of sexual violence and was inspired to write Consequences to explore the feelings of a survivor, of being heard, validated and understood by another survivor of sexual abuse.
The consequences single was recorded with the audio recording setup awarded to me by the Alan Surtees Trust Fund, and was produced by the wonderful James Hanington.

All the profits from downloads of this single will be donated to Leeds Support After Rape and Sexual Violence.
